DimYum Restaurant

DimYum Restaurant is located at Sobrecary Street, Corner Loyola Street, Obrero, Davao City.  To those who are not much familiar with the streets of Obrero, this Chinese-Malay inspired resto can be easily found by driving through the road beside Mcdonald's Bajada, just go straight ahead, they are on the right side of the street (about 5 blocks).

DimYum is a simple and straight-forward type of restaurant with its white walls, bright white light, and of course a little bit of greenery - China feels. If you love Chinese food you would also notice these usual traits with other Chinese restaurants. No over the top colors and architectural designs which makes you focus more on the food they serve.

Check out these oh so mouth-watering dishes we ordered!! After posting a photo in Instagram, I had a lot of pm's asking me where it is located. If "masarap ba?" because it looked really good in the photo.

Yes! I can honestly say MASARAP sya (translation: delicious). We were fully satisfied with everything that we ordered. We had Chinese style beef steak, Lemon Chicken, Yangchow, Pork xiao long bao, and Asado noodle soup.

We were informed by the waiter and the owner Ms. Kristine, that we have to eat the Pork Xiao Long Bao first because it has to be eaten warm; the dough will harden as it cools down.

Here's a proper way to enjoy the Pork Xiao Long Bao:

step 1. Use the soup spoon as its holder
step 2. Place the ginger strands on the spoon
step 3. Then mound the Xiao long bao
step 4. Add a few drops of Black Vinegar. YUM!

(The soy sauce and black vinegar looks the same, make sure to read the labels)
What I really loved about DimYum was their big serving portions for a very affordable price (hndi nila binarat ang ingredients, ex. dami eggs and shrimp ng yangchow, ang asado soup madaming meat, and so on). Price ranges from P180-P300 (as i can recall) good for 3 persons per dish and good for 5 persons per soup. Wow!

I highly recommend the Chinese Style Beef Steak - very well-flavored and the meat was tender.

DimYum Restaurant will surely become a staple Chinese food go-to. 👍👍👍
