I'd go Ape for Food!

You know those times when you get hungry and there are no accessible food around? You then try to not think about it but then your mind deceives you more, which makes you think about food 10x your regular "patay gutom" days. You now start to fidget and become more intense. You start to feel cold and your pupils dilate. Telling yourself "why didn't I take that last piece of banana from the table? why???!!." That rage within you unleashes into a mighty plague and no one, not even your gf/bf, can handle. Haha! Kidding aside, most of us go ape when we get hungry. Luckily, I found the perfect place wherein the neanderthal in you can manage to calm down. Good food, relaxing ambiance, and excellent service, the perfect words to describe Hungry Ape.

Hungry Ape is located at the ATU Plaza, Gov duterte St. Davao City. They serve Southern American inspired cuisines that are masterfully created by the Monkey man himself, Chef Morris. He literally took the art of culinary to a new and exciting level. He likes to play around with different spices, spices that are purely from scratch. "NO MSG AND TASTE ENHANCERS here," said Chef Morris. When you get to try Hungry Ape's food you will also see and experience his creativity through flavors and combinations of textures in every single plate. Truly a restaurant worth visiting.

Check out these photos of their must-try food selections.

Mushroom Salpicao, a tastey pasta dish infused with garlic, olive oil, and mushrooms . It is served with garlic bread.

Dirty Fries, no it is not dirty at all. ❤

Pork belly ala Moe, pork skin is crispy and meat is tender. Bathe in honey and topped with salted egg bits.

My favorite, the Dirty fries, is like a nacho fries. You have your con carne in there, topped with sunny side egg, and curled scallions. Tastey and satisfying down to its last bit 👌

Hungry Ape is one of the restaurants that made my taste buds appreciate a fellow chef's culinary expression. Their unique touch appeals to foodies who loves flavors and quality dining.
